One of the things that continually fascinates me is how God answers prayers often in ways far beyond what we expect or imagine. Whenever we pray, it's easy to assume that God will answer exactly as we've envisioned: "Lord, give me a sign if this is Your will." I believe many of us have found ourselves praying this way. Throughout Scripture, we see men and women of faith; Abraham, Abraham's servant, Moses, Jonathan, Hezekiah, Gideon, and even Thomas, asking God for unmistakable signs that reveal His power and sovereignty.

I've often found myself in their shoes, laying my desires and dreams before God before taking steps toward the plans He has placed on my heart. I know Jesus speaks clearly through His Word as we immerse ourselves in Scripture and meditate on it. Yet there are moments when I long for extraordinary confirmations not because His Word is insufficient, but because they reveal more of His power, His sovereignty, and His fatherly care. My faith rests in the truth that nothing is impossible with God. He will always accomplish His will, and after all, I am His child and He is my Abba.

Perhaps this is simply my way of expressing dependence on Him, those quiet conversations in my heart where I whisper, "Abba, I know You can surprise me." It's the kind of expectation that never leads to disappointment because my trust is rooted in Him rather than in my own understanding.

For years, I've wrestled with questions about how God has uniquely wired me. Why am I naturally drawn to art, beauty, craftsmanship, aesthetics, stories, history, philosophy, and the act of creating? Why have I often felt different from those around me, unable to connect deeply because our interests rarely overlap?

Comparison has crippled me more times than I'd like to admit. Yet it has also taught me to embrace the unique way God has fashioned me, to steward the gifts He has entrusted to me and use them to bring light wherever He has called me to serve. One of the deepest wrestlings in that journey has been understanding my philosophy of beauty and why God has called me into the world of fashion.

What is beauty?

What captivates your soul?

How do you express it?

The saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," has always intrigued me. There is truth in it, for we are given the freedom to recognize and appreciate beauty in different ways, both outwardly and inwardly. Yet as I continue walking with Christ, I've discovered that true beauty extends far beyond appearance. It reveals something deeper about the heart.

As I began developing my next creative pursuit, our newest bridal collection, I sought the Lord earnestly for wisdom on how to faithfully execute the vision He had entrusted to me. I wrestled with whether the women I hoped would become the collection's models were simply my personal preference or truly part of His divine design.

This uncertainty led me into seasons of prayer and fasting. Being naturally detail-oriented, I wanted complete clarity that this vision came from Him.

During that season, the Lord continually led me to meditate on the Book of Ephesians. Through Paul's letter, He affirmed the vision over and over again, not only through His Word, but also through providential circumstances, the body of Christ, and what I can only describe as signs and wonders.

Before approaching the women I had in mind, I first sought the blessing and guidance of their leaders in 2025. Only then did I begin extending invitations to each of them, patiently waiting for God's timing.

Every "yes" they gave was more than acceptance, it was another answered prayer.

Looking back, I realized that none of these moments happened overnight. Long before the invitations were accepted, seeds had already been planted through fervent and unceasing prayers, quiet obedience, waiting, and trusting God with desires I could not yet see fulfilled. What I was witnessing was not merely a series of fortunate events, but the gracious outworking of a biblical principle: we reap what we sow.

Paul reminds us:

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." (Galatians 6:7-9 NKJV)

This collection is not simply the harvest of creative work, it is the harvest of God's faithfulness. Every prayer offered in secret, every season of fasting, every moment of surrender, every delay that taught patience, and every act of obedience became seeds entrusted to the Lord. In His perfect timing, He allowed those seeds to bear fruit in ways I could never have orchestrated myself.

Perhaps that is why signs and wonders often accompany seasons of faithful sowing. They are not rewards we earn, but gracious reminders that God sees every seed planted in faith. He alone gives the growth, and when the harvest comes, all glory belongs to Him.

I don't take their yeses lightly because Scripture reminds us:

"But make sure your statement is, 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no'; anything beyond these is of evil origin." (Matthew 5:37 NASB)

They eventually asked me why I had chosen them. My answer was simple. It was the way they carried themselves and their gaze. It wasn't merely their outward beauty that captivated me, but the quiet light reflected through their eyes.

One of Jesus' teachings has always stayed close to my heart:

"The eye is the lamp of the body; so then, if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light." (Matthew 6:22 NASB)

I find great joy in looking into someone's eyes during meaningful conversations. There is something profoundly beautiful about those moments. Often, they reveal what words cannot, a glimpse of the light Christ is cultivating within a person.

As the collection continued taking shape, I sensed there was still one final muse needed to complete the five women who embody the DNA of a Froilan Dosdosen woman.

So I prayed.

I waited.

I asked.

God's answer came, not as I expected, but in His own gentle and thought-provoking way.

The first nudge came during my first CCF service in Baguio on May 10. The second came during a Saturday night worship service at the CCF Center on July 4. In both messages, one name repeatedly surfaced: Jonah.

"Your Jonah moment again, Froi." - Ica

It was a phrase she had jokingly coined back in 2024 whenever I found myself hesitating to obey what I sensed God was leading me to do. Like Jonah, I have had moments of wanting to veer away from His prompting, not because I wanted to rebel against Him, but because fear, uncertainty, and the weight of obedience often felt overwhelming. Yet time and again, the Lord has faithfully pursued me with patience and grace, gently leading me back to the path He had prepared all along.

I knew exactly who the Lord was pointing me toward. Then came His final surprise.

The woman I had been praying about appeared right in front of me during that very Saturday night worship service. The funny part was that I wasn't even supposed to be sitting where I was that evening. It was the final day of our Mid-Year Prayer and Fasting, and God orchestrated what I could never have planned myself.

Without hesitation, I approached her and asked if she would model for the collection.

Just like that, the lineup was complete.

How faithful Jesus is.

Every God-given vision will be tested through delays, uncertainty, and unexpected challenges. Yet throughout this journey, I have continually experienced the loving presence of Christ. My confidence has never rested on circumstances, but on who He is, His Word, His promises, and His gracious confirmations through signs and wonders.

As we continue building this new era of Bridalwear for the Froilan Dosdosen brand, our desire is to communicate a beauty that speaks far beyond outward appearance. Through the lens of faith and fashion design, we hope to explore what it truly means to be the Bride of Christ.

My heart overflows with gratitude as I witness God's hand weaving together people from different walks of life into one shared vision. It amazes me how He unites hearts, inspires creativity, and sparks conversations about what it truly means to be a woman, identity, and beauty through the Gospel.

As we continue building for His Kingdom through this creative collaboration, I declare that no power can thwart what the Lord Jesus has purposed. His Spirit covers, protects, and strengthens those who walk in obedience, for He alone knows the deepest thoughts and intentions of every heart.

This is my invitation to believe in the One who still performs signs and wonders, our Lord Jesus Christ.

For years, I carried this prayer quietly before Him, and today I rejoice in sharing how faithfully He refines the desires of His servants. If you, too, have been asking God for a sign, my prayer is that you would ultimately find what every sign is meant to point toward, not merely an answered prayer, but the One who gives true joy, peace, abundance, and everlasting life.

Jesus Himself.

He offers an abundant life, not one measured by earthly possessions, but by eternal communion with Him.
